For the second edition running, Brandspot AB has got the assignment to manage a stopover in the the Volvo Ocean Race in Gothenburg. Sweden’s leading event management firm in sailing will continue to build on the success from the finish of the event in Gothenburg in 2015. In 2018, the city will host the penultimate stopover in the 2017-18 edition of the world’s toughest ocean race, a great opportunity to create a fantastic event.

Volvo Ocean Race 2017-2018 starts in Alicante, Spain in the late fall of 2017 and will be the longest edition of the Race yet with a course of 45 000 Nm. The final leg will start in Gothenburg and end in Haag, Netherlands.
“We are very happy to get this prestigious assignment. We will gather our efforts together with the city of Gothenburg and local partners to create an unforgettable event both on land and on the water”, says Brandspot’s CEO Jan Torstenson.

The assignment to manage the stopover comes from Gothenburg & Co.
